As an artist interpreting the experience, we become involved, we move from witness to participant, we evolve from an observer into a collaborator, we become responsible for the visual language we produce.
Experiences of days spent working on roofs have inspired the images that I produce. I occupy the space that birds live in. The bird has the vantage point, is the unobserved witness to daily activities, whether they are dramatic or mundane. I have felt connected to the stories and events that I witness because I become a constituent, I see and interpret.
